That doesn't stop him from grabbing a rag from nearby and scrubbing Feli's face, "Stop being stupid. No, we can't, especially when you keep acting so dumb. I'd be embarrassed to have a friend like you, damnit."

"But..." He pushes the hand holding the rag aside to gaze at you with soulful, wounded puppy eyes. "That's mean. Why are you so being so mean to me all of sudden? Did I make you angry?" He coos sadly. "I thought you liked me. You hugged me and you let me kiss you."

That's not quite working right now.

"I... y... b... s-shut up!" he growls, shuts his eyes tight and drops the rag to cover his ears, "Y-you're annoying, damnit! Leave me alone!"

"Now you're just being silly," the boy declares and plucks the rag from your head. He holds it protectively to his chest. "And I'm not annoying! But if you really want me to I'll leave you alone."

After another wounded look, he goes back to painting.

He deal with this very well. By going back to drawing, but making a good show of ignoring Feli. Complete with glancing up childishly, whining to go with it when he sees Feli not paying attention, and the like.

So much for ignoring him. Feliciano had tried really hard, he had tried his very hardest, but in the end he finds it impossible and lowers his paintbrush in defeat.

The boy leans his head tentatively against yours and coos. "You're funny!"

"I'm not funny!" he protests loudly and drops the drawing to hit Feli with the back of his hand. "I said leave me alone, idiot!"

"Ow!" He rubs his head, shooting you an indignant glare, complete with pouty lips and little huff.

"I didn't mean ha-ha funny, I meant weird funny!"

Not what Lovi actually chooses to do, but the options never lie.

"I'm not weird! I'm completely fucking normal, alright!? There's nothing weird about me or anyone I know, so fuck off because you're weird! So fucking there!"

Feliciano gives him a long, puzzled look. Very, very slowly, he scrunches up his nose. He taps his brush against his nose again, though this time with the wooden end. He doesn't want to have his nose scrubbed again. "You're really, really weird. And you get upset about weird things. And you yell a lot."

He purses his lips. "But I like you anyway."

He proceeds to hang his head and whine loudly, before falling only his side comically and curling up into a ball to whine some more. Yes, this is what being productive is all about.

Feliciano watches with wide eyes, for a while just plain unable to decide what he should think of that display.

A soft giggle escapes him, then a louder one, hastily hidden by an obviously faked coughing fit. He pouts a bit at his own lack of acting skills and gives up, giggling loudly as he kneels next to you and pokes your side.

"Now you're haha-funny, too!"

He looks up in complete distaste and sits up sharply to slap him... and then freezes. Because sitting up with Feli right next to him got their heads closer together than he'd like. So he just... glares, with his eyes darting over Feli's face and trying to judge exactly how much space there is between them. Not much. Little enough that he's frozen with no chance of snapping out of it alone.

Well, Feliciano is no help at all. He simply sits there, blinking and staring and blinking some more. No, wait, he manages an intrigued gentle coo, too. He purses his lips for that coo and tilts his head the tiniest bit to the left, accidentally tilting it slightly forward as well, bringing their faces yet closer together.

"You have pretty eyes."

He remains frozen, staring back at Feli and slowly starting to shiver. The words fall on deaf ears... well, almost. The word "pretty" makes it into his head, and slowly his glare returns, wordlessly, with nothing to say that he can think of.

Very, very slowly, Feli becomes aware of the returning glare. "Eep!" He flinches and loses his balance, toppling backwards right onto his ass. There he sits, legs in the air and mouth agape, looking very startled and just as dumb.

That works for all of the zero seconds where he isn't painfully aware of Feli's compromising position.

His knees slide over to hide his face, which is quickly turning red, and his arms wrap around his head so that there's no chance Feli can see that shade on his face. Nope nope nope get him out he hates this.

There's no laughter. No mockery, either. When that realization seeps into his brain he eyes you curiously, only to realize your odd position. He sits up again, on his knees this time, and leans in close as if getting a closer look would provide him with an explanation. "Ve? What are you doing?" And why, the unspoken question remains.

Lovi is too busy hiding to do anything useful.

Well, this little artist isn't going to let himself be ignored. He is good at being annoyingly persistent.

"Lovino? Lovi? Hey? Hello? Are you still in there?"

He pokes your shoulder and leans in even closer, so your foreheads nearly touch.

Here he goes freezing again. Even the odd curl sticking up from his head is completely and utterly still. He slowly looks up, and that makes their foreheads actually touch... and he just watches. His face is completely red, and his eyes are wide as if he's expecting Feli to turn into some hideous monster if he so much as breathes.

Well, this is a little bit too much for Feliciano's brain to deal with, he isn't used to figuring out complicated problems of the likes of Lovino. He is like one of these complex math problems that only get more convoluted if you try to solve them until you're so unsettled you don't even trust yourself to calculate 1 + 1 anymore.

In such cases, forward is the only way to go.

He tilts his head further to the side and leans closer yet.

Their lips brush, Feli freezes as he realizes what he has done.

That doesn't quite work either. He's still frozen solid, almost irreversably so. His lips are tingling oddly where they touch Feli's, and he's finding it almost impossible to breathe. His hands are shaking uncontrollably, and he finally has to shove them onto the ground in an attempt to still them, and hide the shaking from Feli. But the whole time he's not pulling away either, he's just... stuck. He's confused and honestly pretty scared, so it's probably better for Feli that he's not doing anything.

The realization that Lovino isn't responding seeps slowly into his mind, making Feliciano pout and falter, then pull back completely. His eyes are lowered in shame, his cheeks burn bright crimson. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have... I don' know what I was thinking." He ducks his head further and makes a sad ve sound.

It is normal for Lovino Vargas to pretend the exact opposite of what he thinks is the truth. He leaned forward to scream in Feli's face. He grabbed Feli's shirt to shake him by it. And he's pressing their lips together because... um.... because... okay, he can't think of a reason but there's a good one somewhere.

That doesn't change the fact that he's gone far beyond over his head. He's going to drown as soon as his adrenaline/dopamine runs out, and he knows it. That's a situation that he's never handled well.
